Crestron at InfoComm Part 2

InfoCommPost2InfoComm15 was a huge success for Crestron! Our 9,000-square-foot-booth was surrounded by people interested in our new products and solutions. We won many prestigious awards, wowed tradeshow goers, and impressed attendees with how quickly we’re shaping the AV industry with the best solutions on the market.

The excitement continued off the showroom floor as we celebrated the first successful day at InfoComm with our annual customer appreciation party at the Hard Rock Live® Orlando. We believe our customers who help shape the Crestron community deserve only the best. What better way to honor them than providing a rocking good time with great food, drinks, and live music from Sammy Hagar and The Circle?

Crestron Media Booth Tour

Kicking off day two at InfoComm15, we held a media booth tour before the show officially opened to everyone. During this tour, members of the press experienced an exclusive showing and presentation of all the new products and solutions, some including Fusion InSite™, the PinPoint™ Mobile App, Crestron .AV Framework™, and DM® 3.0. Merging AV and IT

New trends in social computing and technology are pushing the merge of AV systems and IT organizations to become a unified communications infrastructure. Robert Haley, Director of Marketing at Compunetix, moderated an IMCCA panel that featured Crestron Technology Manager of Unified Communications, Joe Sarrasin, who addressed the driving forces of our industry today:

He also spoke about three Crestron turnkey unified communication solution packages. Each package is meant for different sized rooms, from huddle spaces to large conference rooms. Driven by the Crestron RL™ 2 System Codec, the packages include the TS-1051-C touch screen, cables and mounting hardware, a camera, a sound bar and a USB mic or an all-in-one speakerphone. As for replacing existing systems or custom building a new one, Crestron offers an Integrator Kit driven by the Crestron RL 2 System Codec and includes the TS-1051-C touch screen and mounting brackets. For these solutions, Crestron hardware is combined with Skype® for Business for a flawless videoconferencing experience.

A+ Partner Summit

Crestron hosted an A+ Partner Summit uniting Crestron experts and professionals from colleges and universities to talk about campus-wide digital integration to create the ‘modern classroom.’ Crestron talked about DM 3.0 and the requirements you should have when designing and purchasing a system, as well as Crestron Fusion®, which manages the technology and environments across the campus. Crestron Senior Product Manager, Robert Carter, spoke about and demonstrated Crestron .AV Framework, the new operating system to standardize AV on a single IP-based platform. College and university representatives spoke about the transformation of classrooms using SIMPL# Pro to program an entire campus and Active Directory to authenticate instructors, so Capture HD® can instantly deliver files to Blackboard®.

BeTerrific with Vincent Bruno

Vin Bruno BeTerrificCrestron Director of Customer Experience, Vincent Bruno, joined BeTerrific for a live interview on digital signage and Crestron. During the interview, he talks about how Crestron switchers, distribution amplifiers, scalers, and control processors allow flexibility and control by routing sources from a smart phone or tablet to display digital signage. He also mentions the Crestron HQ Experience Center, which displays a 3x3 video wall routed simultaneously in different formats, such as 4K and 1080p. One amazing digital signage feature at InfoComm, an 8.3 million pixel 4K display, was driven entirely by Crestron DigitalMedia™ 4K products.

Preparing for the Changing Workplace

The IMCCA hosted a panel with presentations about how to prepare for the changing workplace. Going from paper to digital, IT, HR, and facilities are collaborating to enable employee productivity and interaction. To do so, managers need to reconfigure the workplace by providing employees with easy-to-use tools. The panel included Crestron Director of Unified Communications, Michael Goldman, as well as representatives from Cisco®, Polycom®, and others. They addressed audience concerns, such as how to make workplace technology easy to use and reliable.  Michael explained the relevance of workspace technology and how solutions like DM 3.0, .AV Framework, and Crestron Fusion are intuitive, reliable, and easy to use. Crestron presentation switchers are ready to go right out of the box with no training or manuals necessary. .AV Framework ensures the same user experience everywhere in the building and communicates with Crestron Fusion, so the people responsible for managing the software can keep it running smoothly.

Throughout the years, we put in endless hard work and dedication to provide the best solutions on the market. All of our hard work paid off at InfoComm15 after we won more awards than we have in previous years, a grand total of fifteen by the show’s closing!
